Empire - View Website
I have no affiliation with Empire magazine, its colleagues or magazine. The Empire logo is used purely for reference purposes to illustrate the inspiration for the challenge that I have set myself. All film reviews are linked to Empire magazine for my visitors to gain a more balanced view.
IMDB - View Website
I have no affiliation with Internet Movie Database, its colleagues or website. All film reviews are linked to Internet Movie Database for my visitors to gain a more balanced view, or to get a larger insight into the history of the movie.
Amazon - View UK Website
I have linked each movie to the Amazon.com product page. I get a referral fee, so by clicking through this blog you're doing me a favour without putting yourself out of pocket. Of course, it should be noted that other stores - both online and offline - sell the movies that I review. Edit: I no longer do this because Blogger removed the tools.
Wikipedia - View Website
Each film has been linked to Wikipedia for informational purposes only. Each film review has a poster that is linked directly to the Wikipedia website.
All videos on the blog are in the public domain and are linked from YouTube which has a stringent policy on copyrighting. Sources for videos are as follows:
I own the images of the DVD boxes and the background image (on license). Should you wish to use these, please contact me first and I shall provide you a copy of the image at my discretion. Please also seek permission if you wish to use the star-rating images. All images of movie posters have been used directly from Wikipedia. All company logos that are used are linked back to the company whose logo it is.
All statistics are for informational purposes only. The prices paid for DVDs are the price I paid (from reputable sellers both online and offline). Pirated DVDs or DVDs suspected of piracy that have been purchased from online sellers are returned immediately. The time spent in front of the TV is a rough guide only based on the times stated on the DVD box and only takes into account films from the challenge. The stars awarded are personal opinion - all films were listed in the Empire 5-star magazine (Xmas 2010) so it is assumed that Empire Magazine awarded each film five stars. Page views are based on the statistics given from Blogger. Page view count can be found at the bottom of the blog. The statistics may periodically be outdated as the blog reviews are added before statistics are updated. Live statistics update the percent and page views automatically.
